Totally Tubular
Within the Musée du quai Branly’s exhibit on Planete métisse—the mixing of cultures—stands a brightly lit tree of tubes that invite you to take a listen. Flowing through each of its branches is a different example of Afro-Cuban music. You can put your ear up to the ends, or take in the whole mix as the sound residue from each tentacle meshes together into an atmospheric din. An enticingly visual design for an audio display.
