The Music Video Festival 2015, a celebration of the art and craft of the video clip, closed its third edition on Sunday, June 7 at São Paulo’s Museum of Image and Sound. The festival, sponsored by Miller, was the biggest yet attended by 2,500 people, more than 30 guests and 7 pocket shows during the weekend.

Festival highlights included 1000 Forms of Fear Triptych, an exhibition devoted to the acclaimed collaboration between Sia and filmmaker Daniel Askill; talks and performances by some of Brazil’s top music artists including Pitty, Emicida, Thiago Pethit; a talk with New York-based curator Tim Goossens and singer Nomi Ruiz (Hercules and Love Affair) followed by a performance by Nomi; a presentation of Andrew Thomas Huang’s Bjork Stonemilker VR and a juried music video competition recognizing the best of the year’s Brazilian and International music videos.

The festival hosted the premiere of Emcida’s incendiary new video Boa Esperança, directed by Katia Lund (City of God) and João Wainer.

In lieu of a personal appearance director Hiro Murai sent a video to accept his Audience Award for Best International video.
