It’s been an unbelievable two weeks. Yes it’s summertime and some people are happily traveling, others are hitting the beach or taking it easy but we here at Flux have been shooting a short film that involves, let’s just say, a surprise. This new short is the first one Flux has produced in a long time and the experience has been nothing short of FUN!

I forgot what it’s like to have a cast and crew of 30, eating low budget catered lunches, working 12-13 hour days but fighting the good fight and enjoying every single minute. The cast, the crew, our director and even our clients were such remarkable people that for 3 short days we became a family. There is something magical about being on set, almost like being away at summer camp, with everyone working hard and rejoicing in the moment when everything works and you “get the shot”.

Other days were more trying than others but I especially enjoyed the day when, far beyond the point of exhaustion, we were all loopy and still kept plugging on with smiles on our faces and bags under our eyes. Loopiness led to our hair and makeup team inventing the craziest hairstyles, wardrobe and art direction pulling out their wackiest designs and my production manager and I finding ourselves interacting with a very colorful cast of characters at one of our locations.

You may wonder what the short is about and all I can say for now is it’s a funny viral for a very cool brand. We will no doubt be sharing more about it very very soon.
