CINEMA TUESDAYS is a weekly screening series featuring innovative motion pictures and unique live events. From exclusive film premieres, stylish action films and inventive comedies to inspiring tales of urban sport and art, each event will be a fresh, not-to-be-missed experience, be it a sneak peek of an anticipated studio release, Nike-commissioned short films, a celebrated film from international festivals or the return of a seminal classic. Live filmmaker presentations, musical performances and thematic elements are only some of the surprises lined up for an unforgettable evening.

CINEMA TUESDAYS takes place at The Montalbán, Nike Sportwear’s unique retail and special events theatre in Hollywood.

Famed Japanese auteur Takashi Miike, best known for cult classics AUDITION and ICHI THE KILLER, redefines the spaghetti western with SUKIYAKI WESTERN DJANGO, a tale written in blood. Two clans, the white, Genji clan, led by Yoshitsune, and the red, Heike clan, led by Kiyomori, battle for a legendary treasure hidden in a desolate mountain town. Quentin Tarantino also stars.

Directors Todd James, Chris Robinson and Adam Weissman will present their 3×3 short film projects on the big screen. These irreverent and humorous short films all feature the Windrunner as either the central character or as a primary plot point in the films.

Megunica follows acclaimed street artist Blu on his road trip adventures through Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Argentina. The film mixes spectacular cinematography with innovative animation. Blu’s MUTO, an animated painting film became a viral hit with over two million YouTube views in one month. The film will be introduced by director Lorenzo Fonda.
