Cinema Tuesdays: Dear Lemon Lima, Los Angeles

Cinema Tuesdays at The Montalbán celebrates summer with Suzi Yoonessi’s film Dear Lemon Lima.
As sweet and colorful as a snow cone, this delightful happy-sad confection follows an awkward Alaskan teen as she discovers her Yup’ik heritage while rallying her fellow misfits to compete in her school’s Snowstorm Survivor competition.
Dear Lemon Lima won Outstanding Performance in Narrative Competition at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival.

I adore this film! It brought joy to my heart and tears to my eyes. Very few films leave everlasting footprints in your heart. Dear Lemon Lima is definately one of those. A must see for all!

Just saw this AMAZING film last Sunday @ USC.
I hope this little movie goes as far as “Little Miss Sunshine”.
It captures a 14 year old girl’s life so beautifully– and the people that surround her. A MUST SEE!!
